Privacy Policy

What this site collects, which is as little as possible.

CouchMachine has no user accounts, no comments and no tracking scripts. The only personal data we handle is what you send us yourself: a contact message or a newsletter sign-up.

Contact form

When you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, the subject and your message. They are emailed to us and you get a confirmation by email. The message is kept in our outgoing mail queue for at most 30 days and in our mailbox for as long as needed to answer you.

Newsletter

If you sign up for the newsletter we store your email address, the IP address the sign-up came from and the dates you subscribed or unsubscribed. You confirm your address through a link in a confirmation email; unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 7 days. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link, and you can give a reason when you leave, which is optional.

Visit statistics

We count the number of visits per day and the number of clicks on shop links. Only these totals are stored: no IP addresses, no browser details, no per-visitor records and no analytics services.

Third parties

  • Our emails are delivered by Resend, which processes the email address and contents of each message to send it.
  • The page layout library (Bootstrap) and a small script library are loaded from the jsDelivr CDN, which receives your IP address as part of the request. Fonts are hosted on our own server.
  • Forms are protected against spam with Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks the request without setting tracking cookies. Its use is subject to the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
  • Shop links lead to other websites. Once you click through, their own privacy statements apply.

Cookies

This site sets one functional cookie and no tracking or advertising cookies:

  • Session cookie (PHPSESSID): keeps forms secure and makes sure a visit is counted once. It is deleted when you close your browser.

Shops we link to may set cookies on their own sites once you follow a link, for example to attribute a purchase to us when the link is an affiliate link. Their cookie policies apply.

Your rights

You can ask which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Use the contact page.
